Wing Commander Vinyáya is a Council Member of the People who is noted for her marksmanship. She was a great help in the B'wa Kell uprising. She recruited Holly Short for Section Eight, to deal with the demon appearances crisis. She was also Holly's piloting captain in the LEP academy. She has long silver hair that she usually dyes, but stopped dying it in the fifth book. She blazed the trail for women in the LEP, and was nominated for the Council. She was a staunch supporter of Holly Short and Commander Julius Root.
