History[]

Artemis Fowl was forced to attend a therapy session in his office. As the session began, he noted that Artemis was admiring the chair that he was sitting in. He described it as a family heirloom from 1689-1702, once in use at Buckingham Palace. Trying to get down to a business, he told Artemis that there was a problem. Artemis agreed, saying that it was that he knew the textbook reply to anything that Po might choose to ask of him. Po responded that the real problem was that Artemis didn't respect anyone enough to treat them as an equal. Artemis called this ridiculous, saying that he held several people in the highest esteem. When Po asked for an example, however, Artemis named Albert Einstein and Po asked him to name someone he actually knew. At this, Artemis asked Po to tell him, since he apparently had all the answers.

Artemis directed Po's attention to his biography, asking where they should start. Po brought up Artemis's mother, Angeline Fowl, whom he said was a wonderful woman that had been taken from them too soon, but had no control over his behavior. He then brought up the mysterious absences of Artemis's father. Artemis told him that he was getting into a sensitive area, and then continued that he didn't know that they allowed fakes at the palace. He told Po that his chair had evidence of machine-tooling which made it from the 1890s at the earliest. At this, Po replied that Artemis was lashing out at him because of the burden of his family name. Artemis answered back that it was because he was forced to endure this ridiculous therapy and left, leaving Po to ask just who he thought he was.
